PARTY POLITICS
"A WASTE OF TIME"
FARMERS' CRITICISM
(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
STBATFORD, This Day
Strong criticism of party politics was voiced by Mr. J. Cocker, president of the Eltham Farmers' Union, at a meeting of tho union held at Lowgarth.
His -.criticism was drawn 'by a remark that Mr. C. A. Wilkinson's request for the inclusion of the mortgage question in the Dairy Commission's order of reference had come from
the wrong source. When propositions wore received from intelligent men who were on the wrong side of the House, said Mr. Cocker, no notice was taken. It was obvious that had the sug-1 gestion been made by a member of the Government it would have been heeded. Other speakers supported Mr. Cocker, ono declaring that people were tired of party politics and that it was a waste of time for factions to contest against each other. Party government would have to be washed out completely. '
