AUSTRALIANS AT HOME

CRICKET CASUALTIES

MEMBERS OF TEAM OUT OF

ACTION

(Received May 11, 2 p.m.)

LONDON, May 10.

Kippax and the treasurer of the Australian team, Mr. Bull, are suffering from influenza, with high temperatures. It is unlikely they will accompany the team to London tomorrow. They have been taken by ambulance to a private hospital. MeCabe went to bed immediately after today's play with a complaint, not yet diagnosed. Chipperfield, Bromley, and Oldfield are recovering from colds. Grimmett has suffered a recurrence of the strain to his right hand, which explains why he was not put on in the second innings.

Influenza is going through the Australians. If there are any further casualties there, may be a difficulty in getting a team against the M.C.C. on Saturday.
