DEMAND FOR HORSES.

The entry at the horse fair at Pukekohe last week was less than the average. Horses of quality sold under keen competition. The prices realised for medium and lieavy draughts. ranged from £25 to £36; good farm sorts, £1S to £23; older farm sorts, £10 to £16; hades and light harness horses, £3 10s to £14; ponies, to £6.

There was 1111 entry of about 100 horses at the monthly fair at Rangiora, and the salo was a good one. Best draughts, four to seven years old, sold from £30 to £30, exceptionally good animals going as high as £46, although very few made above ,-£4 O. Medium quality draughts sold from £20 to £28, and aged draughts £5 to £15. ITacka made from £1 to £5, ' and unbroken two-year-old draughts from £18 to £30.
