Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:— At the weekly sale held in Feilding on Friday a record yarding of cattle of all descriptions was pennsd. In all we estimate a total yarding of 2800 head, buyers being present from as far north as Te Ruiti and from all parts of the Mauawatu, Eungitikei, and Taranaki districts. It was quite evident, more particularly in the big cattle, that prices if anything were going to be in buyers' favour, the reason for this being that the supply of big cattle, more particularly at yesterday's fixture, being really too many at the moment for our local market to absorb. However, young cattle, especially straight-bred 18-inonths and 2%-year-old steers, sold particularly well. It is quite evident that with the favourable season which we are experiencing buyers arc in quest of young cattle to keep their pastures in order. Included in our own offering were yarded some particularly high-class 4-year-old station-bred cattle. In this section we were fortunate enough to top the market with a. particularly good lino on account of Mr. A. G. H. Mowbray, of Pakihikura, at £6 3s. In the younger cattle section some very nice lines were yarded, more particularly of 18----month and 2V£-ycar-olds. In the 2%-year-old cattle section we again topped the market with a very nice lino of cattle on behalf of Mr. F. L. Kcrr. of Feilding, at. £4 7s, and again in the 18-month-old class we probably sold one of the best lines ot cattle in the yards on account of Mr. Richard McDonald, of Ashhurst, at £4 6s. In addition to the above, the following are some of our more important sales:—Account F. L. Kerr, Feilding: 25 4-year P.A. bullocks, £5 14s; account E. Hall, Braemore, Hunterville (in conjunction with Dalgcty and Co.): 36 4-year P.A. bullocks, £5 15s; 18 4 and 5-year bullocks, £5 14s; Hi P.A. bullocks, £8 2s 6d; account J. C.
