LOOT POLICE ARMOURY
AT LARGE IN INDIAN JUNGLE
CALCUTTA, April 5.
Eleven notorious brigands who were, awaiting trial for a village hold-up in. Bhagalpur State made a daring escape from gaol at ■ Bhagalnagar yesterday, and are at present terrorising the couatryside. , ' ■ ■ They tricked a sentry into opening their cells, seized his rifle, shot and severely wounded him, then looted tho police armoury, of eleven guns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, and fled into the jungle. _ Tho seventeen-year-old daughter or Comilla, a Government pensioner, has been arrested "in connection with tcr< rorist activities.
