FRONTIER FORTIFICATION
SOLD BY SPIES TO GERMANY
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. ' LONDON, March 28. The astonishing assertion that the whole of France's frontier fortification plans are in the possession of Germany is made by a "Daily Express" special correspondent, -who says that fresh evidence is being discovered daily showing that Stavisky was a member of an international spy and crime gang from which ho drew as his share a tenth of the proceeds. France has discovered that she has few military and naval secrets left. Besides the fortification disclosures, it is known that the fullJspeeifications for the new battleship wero sold to a foreign Power for £100,000, also the secret mechanism of a new machinegun. ■ ■ ■ ■ . .- The real heads' of the organisation ara still undiscovered, but cheque counterfoils prove how deeply the .tentacles of the gang penetrated State departments.
