Robert Skelton, livho was fined in' Sydney last .Monday on a charge of dangerous driving and using insulting language, has had a colourful..career. He.was ai one time the biggest "unregistered" trainer in Australia, haying 40 or 50 horses in his stable, and he .was a courageous better. He has also run a tipster's business, and has been associated with sport in many w.ays. . More than once he has clashed with racing authorities, and altogether he has managed to ke«p himself well in the public eye.
