Ac^HTing to' the weather forecast issued at noon today, moderate southerlics are expected to prevail south of Hokitika and' Banks Peninsula,. with northerlies elsewhere, at first temporarily changing to tho . north-west and then gradually extending over tho Dominion within tho next 24 hours. Tho weather is likely to be fnir to cloudy, and scattered rain is .likely to fall, mloro especially in western and far southern districts. Temperatures will bo moderate. ... ■

Although a light southerly wind has provailod in many places, tho general southerly change has been delayed owing to the development of .a slight secondary depression off the west coast of the South' Island.
