AUSTRALIAN STANDARD
Letters received by the ChristchurcK Centre of the New Zealand Bowling Association this -week showed that the clubs.of the 'centre were strongly opposed to the adoption of the Australiaa standard of bowls. The. secretary (Mr. H. B.< Oakey) said that of the; fortyono clubs circularised throughout tha Dominion; twenty-one had Teplied.- Tha letters from the . Christchurch clubs showed that the, majority of their members would be affected by a change -to conformity with the Australian stand* ard, s and in some cases many resignations would- result. The letters were received, and it was decided to protest against any suggestion' to adopt the Australian standard.
