MINISTERS' APPOINTMENTS DISTRICT CHAIRMEN ELECTED The appointments for tho current year of ministers of the Methodist Church of New Zealand woro completed at this morning's session of the annual conference of tho Church, second draft amendments being few in number. Following are the alterations in tho earlier draft of stations, tho name of the minister who is replaced being given in parentheses:— Auckland District.—Auckland West, second, Rev. C. Eaton. South Canterbury.—Rev. J. D. MeArthur. Otago-Southland.—Rev. C. H. Olds. Solomon Islands Mission District—Rev. J. F. Goldie. Congratulations wero tendered to the Rev. C. H. Olds on his election for the first time to the chairmanship of a district. .'.-'An unsuccessful motion was proposed to the effect that the stationing committee of the conference should meet only once in two years, instead of yoarly a.5 at present, the reasons given being concerned with questions of economy and the allotment of more time at conference for the discussion of important business. It was decided that the.next coaference be held at Duncdin. > The concluding sitting of'the conference will take place this afternoon.
