"KING OF COCOS ISLAND"
(To tha Editor.) Sir,—ln your issue of the 14th instant, an article under the captioft of "King of Cocos Island" apptared, and refers to islands not fat from Panama. The island not far from Panama or to bo precise in latitude 5.32.67 north, longitude 88,2.10 west-*-the resort of treasure hunters—is ii possession of tho Republic of Costa ftiea, and is in no way cqnneeted with the Cocoh or Keeling group over which Kins Clunies Ross rcißiicd. The latter arc situated approximately inidtt.'iy between Fremantle, W-A.j and Colombo, Ceylon, and are a British possession. The former is volcanic, tho latter arc of coral formation. There is no record of any treasure ever having been buried ou the latter inlands. Incidentally until recently if not at the present time, relatives or descendants of King Boss were resident in the Dominion. —I am,' etc., TREASURE TROVE. '
