CANCELLED TOUR

SARAZEN AND KIRKWOOD

ASSUMED REASON

(Eeeeived December 13, 11 a.m.) : SYDNEY, This Day. Advice has been received that the golfers, Sarazen and Kirkwood, have cancelled their proposed tour of Australia and New Zealand. The reason for their decision has not been disclqsed. Tho golfer Archie Keane, manager in Australia for Sarazen and Kirkwood, thinks that the 'opposition in Victoria to the tour may have influenced Kirkwood's decision. The Victorians are particularly anxious to postpone the visit so that it may synchronise with the centenary celebrations in November, 1934. It is even hinted that in event of an arrival in February the Victorian clubs may refuse to make their courses available. '
