MAORI SHEARER'S DEATH

GISBOBNE, This Day. A Maori shearer, Matehaere Koia, aged 40, died in hospital early this morning from injuries received when ho was thrown from a horse near Tolaga Bay last night. It is believed that the deceased after his fall was struck on the head by the horse's hoofs.
