MINISTER FAREWELLED

REV. J. T. CROZIER

The Rev. J. T. Crozier, Baptist minister at Petone, who has accepted a call to Oamaru, was farewclled last evening in the Baptist Schoolroom. Mr. Crozier, who has been at Petone for the past four years, was trained at the Baptist College, and this was his first pastorate.

On behalf of the Petone ministers, the Rev. J. C. Loan (Presbyterian) said all had greatly appreciated the presence of Mr. Crozier in Petone, and realised the amount of good work he had done; They were sorry he was leaving.

Regret at Mr. Crozier's departure was expressed by the Rev. M. W. P. Lascelles, speaking on behalf of the Baptist Union, the Rev. L. J. Boulton Smith, on behalf of the Wellington Baptist churches, and Mr. W. Carey, on behalf of the young people of the church and the Sunday school. * A presentation of books was made to Mr. Crozier on behalf of the members.

Mr. Crozier suitably replied.

Occasion was taken to present Miss Phyllis Lewthwnite, organist and Bible class leader, with a crystal fruit stand on the occasion of her approaching marriage.

Slipper was served. Among those present were members of the Hutt and Wellington churches.
