THE TEA MARKET.
Private advices received in Wellington from Colombo report that the tea market continues strong, with London buying freely. The. market for common teas advanced 1 per cent., and medium and fine teas were from 2 to 3 cents per 1b dearer. The total amount auctioned . this week was 1,510,0001b,1 and next week's catalogue will be , 1,850,0001b. Advice from Calcutta reports little change in the market, which is still firm. .
