AUSTRALIAN WOOL PURCHASES.
Australian wool shipments to the end of October reached 805,136 bales, as compared with 703,067 bales last season. The United Kingdom led with 243,851 bales, as 'against 215,042 bales last season, and Japan was in second place with 171,416 bales, as compared with 134,738 bales. Shipments for the current season July to October compared with last season's totals were as under:—
