WEDDING
SLOAN—STEWABT,
The wedding was recently solemnised at St. Mary of' the Angels, Boulcott Street, ofcEllen Margaret, daughter of Mr. and' Mrs. W. E. Stewart, Mt. Crawford, and Thomas Cole, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. Sloan, Miramar. The ceremony was - performed by the Bey. Father Uhlenberg.
The.bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a charming gown of ivory lace, cut on classical lines, and with long tight-fitting sleeves. Her veil of net was worn well ofE the. face and formed a train. She carried a sheaf of white roses and lily of the valley. She was attended by her sister, Miss Betty Stewart, who wore a geranium taffeta frock of Spanish design, and carried a sheaf of roses and carnations. , Mr. C. Sloan, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.
A reception was held at the Hotel St. George, where Mrs. Stewart, mother of the brido, received the guests, wearing a nigger brown ensemble. Mrs. Sloan, mother of the bridegroom, wore a navy blue costume and hat to tone.
Later Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Sloan left for the north.
