Sample, Island Bay, will return with her sister at the end of the week to Melbourne. Miss li. F. Moss- and Mrs. O. C. Ashton, Kongotai, returned to 'Wellington yesterday after a fortnight's tour in the Hot Lake district: Miss Nancy Fuller, Island Bay, has left for a visit to Hawke's Bay. Mrs. Bernard' Wood, Heretaunga, is the guest of her brother and sister-in-law, Sir Cyril and Lady Ward, at Merivale^ Christchurch, Miss L. Clark, Christchurch, is spending a holiday^ in. Wellington.
