DOLLFUSS IN DARKNESS

Nazis cut the electric cables and plunged the city of Klagenfurt into darkness immediately Dr. Dollfuss began a speech. A • considerable panic followed and this was increased by the explosions of smoke bombs throughout the city. Dr. Dollfuss, unperturbed, continued his speech by torchlight until the electricity was restored an hour later.
