TIMBER TRADE
He State Forests Department reports that the values of New Zealand exports and imports of timber during October, according to figures supplied by the Customs Department, were:—lmports: Australia, £3395; Japan, £1935; Sweden (butter boxes), £1468; Canada, £604; U.S.A., £479; Finland (butter boxes), £305; United Kingdom, £11; India, £i 57. The values represent the current domestic values in the- countries of export, plus 10 per cent. . Exports: Australia, £14,603 (including white pine, £10,201); United Kingdom, £400; Pacific Islands, £1120.
