MOTHERS' UNION

MEETING AT POINT HOWARD

Held at Point Howard, the recent meeting of the Eastbourne branch of the Mothers' Union was attended by many Hill members and babies, and all enjoyed the address given by Mrs. Eaiuc, president of the Eastbourne branch, on "The Mothers' Union and what it stands for." The Hill members were given associate members' cards, and when the next Corporate Communion is held in the New Year it is hoped to add to the Eastbourne number. During the afternoon Mrs. Carte gavo some amusing recitations. Community singing and a talk, followed by a delicious tea, served by Mesdames Spooner and McNichol, brought a very happy afternoon to a close. . Early in the month Corporate Communion was celebrated at St. Alban's Church, when the vicar spoke on the "Power of Prayer," and asked all 'mothers not to neglect to say the Mothers' Union prayer daily. A pleasing feature was the presence of a number of Hill members from Point Howard. Afterwards all adjourned to the Parish Hal] to partake of luncheon, over which the vicar and Mrs. Kaine presided.
