A remand until November 1 was granted in the case of Harry Ernest Schirnack, aged 23, and Albert • Allen, aged 21, both labourers, who were charged with breaking and entering the shop of the Paraparaumu Dairy.. Co., Ltd., with intent to commit theft. Bail was renewed in each case. James McGlinchey, aged 35, an accountant, was remanded until November 1 on a.charge of stealing £63 from his employers, Yates Cash Stores, Ltd. A plea of guilty was entered by James William Kearney, aged 40, a labI ourer, .to a • charge of stealing a wireless set valued at £5, the property of Joe Guy. He was stood down for sentence until Friday. Bail was refused. , A sentence of three months' imprisonment was imposed upon William Adolphus Cunningham,, aged 45, a wool classer and builder,, on a charge of being a rogue and a vagabond, in that he was found by night without lawful excuse in a building in Majoribanks Street.
