KXGLAND v. WELLINGTON
The sole selector (Mr. T. S. Williams) has chosen the following team to represent Wellington against England in table tennis matches on Saturday night:—Singles: H. Kennedy and C. F. Williams (Government Insurance). Doubles: E. Ohealand H. I'vle (Customs). Emergencies: E. Tindill (Government Printing) and A. Scrimshaw (Census and Statistics). ■. . The committee is arranging some interesting preliminary matches to precede the big contests. A special invitation has' been sent to Miss Hughes, of Palmerston North, who has been unbeaten this season. She narrowly defeated the Wellington champion (Miss Sturipck) in (he interprovincial contest Manawatu v. Wellington last Saturday at Palmerston North, and Wellington fans are keenly looking forward to the return match. The other preliminary matches arranged so far-are as follows:—D. Howe (Wellington) v. Boniface (Institute); Miss Parker and Hayvice v. Miss Williams and E. Howe: Miss Jackson and Scrimshaw w Miss Smythe and Tindill.
