REICHSTAG FIRE TRIAL
LOT OF FOREIGN ACCUSED PEOTEST TO COUET United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received October 13, 16 a.m.) BERLIN, October 12. At the resumption of the Reichstag Arc trial five American, Bulgarian, and French lawyers, '• attending the trial, protested to the President of the Court against the exclusion of Dimltroff, emphasising that Popoff and Taneff-under-stood little -or no German, while the proceedings strangely were not translated, and none of the foreign defendants was' represented by a lawyer of his own choosing. Consequently Limitroff was both defendant and lawyer, aud his lack of knowledge of German procedure brought him into conflict with the Court. His exclusion meant that ho did not receive a fair trial. If the Bulgarians were, found guilty, it would be impossible, to convince the world of the objectivity and impartiality of German justice.
