A BLIND COW

Jessie, a Shorthorn cow, of Gilmore, in New South Wales, has mado the best of her 30 years of life in spite of tho handicap of being born blind. She has a wonderful sense of hearing and smelling, and is able to find all tho gateways of her home paddock. Sometimes cattlo with eyes to see fall into creeks, or waterholcs, but so carefully does Jessie feel and smell her way about that'she has never had an, accident. She has brought wealth to her owners, for she has had 24 calves, every one being of outstanding qunlily.
