CANADIAN ONIONS ARRIVE.
The shipment of Canadian onions which arrived by the Monowai at Auckland this, week, opened in excellent condition. Large quantities were sold to arrive from 14s to 16s a bag, but at present the overseas market is showing an easier trend. Prices of Ptikekbhe onions, which are now showing'fairly marked growth, are, according to quality, at 10s to 11s per cwt, with lower rates for growing lines.
Production of wqol in Canada in 1932 was' 'officially estimated at 20.518,0001b, compared with 20,305,0001b in 1931. The world output of rayon increased from 406,270,0001b in 1031 to 515,390,0001b in 1932. In 1922 it was onty 76,765,00Q]b.
