100-MILE EVENT
(By Telegraph.) (Special to the "Evening 'Post") PALMERSTON N., September 30. The Counties' Cash Cycling Club's 100----miles cycle road race from Palmerston North to Wangani and return was won today by W. Greenlees (Wanganui). There were eighteen competitors. The results were as fojlowe:—vi. Greenlees (Wanganui, UOmin), shr Mmm 56 see, 1; B. Berrymau (New Plymouth, 30nnn), shr ISmin llsec, 2; B. Mcßrearty (Palmerston North, BOmin), ohr 29min 40see,
3. The fastest tiroes were:—Berryman, 4hv 4Smin llsec, 1; A. W. Ellis (New Ply : mouth), scratch, 4hr 54raiu SSsec, 2. Two special trophies presented by Mesara. Goldfinch and Couiins and Collinson and Son were allotted for the first local and outside rider not in tbe •takemoney. They were won by Mcßrearty (Palmerston North) and E. Sutherland (Wanganui), respectively.
