Only two lirst A division matches were played on Saturday, and in' neither was the standard of play what one expects from senior teams. Petone came a step nearer the championship by defeating Technical Old Boys by 7 goals to 0, in a one-sided game at Petone. They have now to beat Swifts to earn the right to play Marist in the final.
