FURNISHING TRADE IMPROVES.
Beard, Watson, and Co., Ltd., Sydney, a house furnishing organisation, will recommend payments of all arrears on the first preference shares, namely, for the year ended July 31, 1031, and the year ended July 31, 1932, and the current dividend for *ear ended July 31, 1933, also payment of first year's arrears of dividend on the second preference shares (year ended July 31. 1931). The net profit of £7711 made during the year recently closed contrasts with a loss of £17,757 during the preyious year, and £25.203 during the year ended July 31, 1931. The debits of the years 1931 atid 1032 were written off from reserve, which then stood at £51,129. *
