PRICES AT FEILDING

■ Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on the •Feilding stock sale on- Friday as under: —An average yarding of fat sheep of all classes came forward, the demand not being as keen as last week; nevertheless, venders were meeting the market on most occasions and practically a total clearance was effected. Only a small entry of store sheep came forward, and these met a ready sale,,wether hoggets appreciating in value on last week's rates. A heavy yarding of cattle came forward, and in this section bidding was more or less restricted;" nevertheless a good clearance was effected of all classes. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report oh their Feilding sale as follows:—There was a full yarding of cattle, which met a £ood demand. Prices for beef showed a definitely firmer tone; store cattle barely maintained recent rates. Yearling Jersey heifers were, very firm in tone; dairy heifers were on par with last sale. PIGS AND POULTRY. The Dominion Auctioneering Company, Palmerston North, reports a capacity yarding of good quality t>igs at their weekly mart sales,on Saturday last.. Prices sliow : ed a fairly substantial increase, on the previous week's realisations, and the prices for poultry were also well maintained.. Prices were:— Pigs: Weaners, 14s 6d to 18s; slips, 16s to 225; stores, 24s to 28s; porkers, 27s to 38s 6d.
