Friday's closing prices for the following raw materials were as follows, those for September 23 being in parentheses:— Cotton: Liverpool quotation, good American middling, S.OOd a lb (5.42 d); October delivery, 5.48 d a lb (5.35 d). Rubber: Para, 4%d a lb (unchanged); plantation smoked ribbed sheet, 4d a lb (3%d).' Jute: October-November shipment, Indian jute. Dundee quotation, £15 0s 7%d a ton (£ls 2s 6d). • Copra: October-November shipment, 'South Sea, £9 7s 6d a ton (£3 10s): .plantation, Rabaul; '£9 10s a ton (£9 12s 6d). Linseed oil: £20 15s a ton (£2l). Turpentine: 47s 3d a cwt (48s 3d). Osmiridium: Unchanged.
