"TRUE SPORTING SENSE"
LONDON, September 28. "To suggest that any member of England's cricket team would bowi deliberately to'cause-injury to a batsman is absurd," said Lord Hailsham at a cricket gathering in Eastbourne. "If, I however, such tactics, although carried out in the true sporting sense, were likely seriously to jeopardise the friendly relations existing between England and Australia, then it would be better if the tactics were dropped."
