CHANGES IN CONDITIONS

The following alterations to the conditions of the C.J.C. Metropolitan (N.ii. Gup) meeting have been made:— In the Spring Plate, the second race on, the first day, the conditions have been amended by the omission of "hack conditions," and the race is now open to horses that at the, time of starting have never won a race of the value of £100 to the winner. In the Apprentices' Handicap, on the first day, the condition that the race is "for horses that have never won a race of six furlongs or under at the time of starting" is removed. The stipulation that the Randolph Handicap, on the second day, is to be ridden by licensed apprentices only is removed. The Otaio Plate Handicap and the Canterbury Cup are transposed on the programme. This means that the Otaio Plate will be the sixth race on the. fourth day, and the Canterbury Cup the third race on the third day. The distance of the Canterbury Cup is increased from one mile and a quailer to one mile and a half. Ihc distance of the Cressy Handicap, the third race on the fouith day, is increased uom seven furlongs to one mile.
