A THOROUGH EARL
The twKnty-seyon-year-old_-Earl of UTevershanv who is -working in a London bank to fit himself for a directorship to which ho has been appointed, is still managing his own Yorkshire estates. To aid his tenant farmers through hard times he has reduced the ron't of 160 of them .by 15 per cent. The Earl is equally thorough in all his undertakings. He .is today the leader of the probation movement in England. To study the working of the system he acted as: office boy to probation officers in Johannesburg six years ago. He'is now Studying banking practice ,in various London branches of tho bank which ' appointed Mm _a local director. Ho will take up his new duties at .York in August, _
