FIRM AND ACTIVE MARKET.
Joseph Nathan and Co., Ltd., have received from their principals, Trengz'ouse and Nathan, Ltd., London, the following cabled advice, dated August 9:—"New Zealand butter, 87s per cwt. Market firm and active." Mr. Thomas Gray has today receivedl the following cable from his principal, Mr. A. C. Kowson, dated London, August 9:—"Butter, 88s per cwt; the market is very firm and prices advancing. Cheese: Market steady and unchanged." The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., has received the following \ advice from its London house, dated August o:—"Dairy produce (last week's quotations in parentheses): Butter, New Zealand choicest salted, • 87s to 88s per cwt (83s to 85s); firm. Cheese, white 49s per cwt (48s 6d to 495); cheese, coloured, 50s to 51s per cwt (51s); quiet."
