The statement of recoipts aud expenditure showed the remarkably successful result mentioned above. Alluding to the anonymous donor who had accepted the financial responsibility of all general expenses, the' hon. treasurer remarked that the gift had been made by ono who was a great admirer and supporter of the very fine work given to the city and district by tho Boy. T. Fielden ■ Taylor. . It Was stated that the committee naa already sent letters of recognition and thanks to all those who helped and. assisted, with gifts, cheques, etc. In the event of the esecutivo having failed to send letters of thanks to those who were good .enough to give their time, donations, or goods, the committee took the present opportunity of conveying the executive's thanks to anybody who may have unfortunately been missed. The "Coster Ball" Committee has forwarded a cheque for £1142 8s to the trustees of tho Wellington City Mission. Tho covering letter, which is signed by the conveners, Mrs. Knox Gilmer and Mrs. Herbert, is as follows: —"On-behalf of the committee of the 'Coster Ball,' fro have pleasure in handing you herewith cheque for £1142 Bs, being the net results received from the above ball. It is the wish of the 'Coster Ball' Committee that this money is to be spent on the men's shelter, and we trust that the above wishes will receive every possible consideration from your board. Wishing the Mission every success in the future." THE BAIiANOE-SHEET. Details of ' receipts and expenditure are as follows:—■. Recoipts: Tickets, £638 15s 6d; donations, £71 6s 9d; reserved seats in gallery, £19 8s; Aero Club commission on sale of tickets, £3 7s 6d; chocolate box competition, £8 11s 9d; cigarette box competition, £1 10s 6d; Coster button competition, £1; cake competition, £10 10s 6d; penguin competition, £1 4s 3d; woolly eiderdown; 16s. Net profits from the following stalls: Oyster cocktail stall, £2 15s; dv Manrier cigarettes, £3 4s .■ lid; Maggie Murphy's Home, £2 13s 4d; pig and whistle stall, £15 10s; Mrs. Shoosmith's balloons, £2 8s; W. D. and H. O. Wills cigarettes; £4 13s Id; the old bull and bush stall, £12 11s 8d; novelty stall, £15 9s lid; silent women stall, £8 4s 7d; the Grand Hotel stall, £10 3s 9d; permits to smoke, £5 10s 2d; decorations? Town Hall, £8 3s 2d; reserved tables, £44 2s; shop takings £142 Os 9d; net profit from the sale of "Coster News," supplement, and advertising, £108 6s lld,^ refund of general expenses'by anonymous donors, £68 7s sd; total, £1210 15s Sd.
