Mr. W. J. HilKhas joined tho Wainui as chief officer, relieving Mr. R. Tulloch for further orders. < Mr. A. S. Fergusson has joined tho Opihl as third officer, vice Mr. T. W., Germeln, who is proceeding to Sydney for holidays. Mr. B. F. Fisher has joined the Kalmai as chief officer, relieving Mr. H. Eddington for holidays. Mr. J. D. Lundie has transferred to the Oonah as chief officer, relieving Mr. M. K. Trcgale, who is transferring to the Taluue next week, relieving Mr. L.. G. Ramsay for holidays. Captain WUdman has recovered from an attack of Influenza, and has resumed command of the Matangi, /relieving Captain Vasta, who has resumed command of the Bata.

VESSELS DELAYED.

The Brisbane Maru has been further delayed by rain at Wellington, and now expects to leave here for Auckland on Monday morning. Tho Zcalandic has also been held up at Wellington, and will N now leave tomorrow morning for Lytteltoh. The Piako, en route from New Tort, has reported by wireless that she expects to arrive at Auckland at G p.m. on Monday.

RUAHINE LEAVES CARACAS BAY.

The Ruahlne, which left London on July 20, sailed from Caracas Bay last Thursday. She is to arrive at Wellington about September G. .-,.■•

THERESA WARP SOLD,

After more than thirty years of faithful service, the Bluff Harbour Board's . tug. Theresa Ward will leave for different waters, a Sydney firm having acquired . her at a figure which has not been disclosed, states a Press Association messaßO from Invercargill. The tug will leave almost Immediately for Port Chalmers, where various adjustments will bo made before the Tasman journey. . .. ' ,"■'

Tho Union Company's Waikoualti, at present at Lyttelton, is to leave there on Monday for docking at Port Chalmers. ,„ She is to leave Bluff about August 12 for Sydney and Newcastle.

MAHANA FROM LONDON,

The Slalinna, from London for Lyttclton, lias encountered a westerly gale and is expected to arrive at Lyttelton on Monday at 7 a.m.

THE ALYNBANK.

The Alynbank has completed the discharge of her phosphate cargo at Dunedlii, and was expected to sail today for Ocean Island.

UNION COMPANY SUPERANNUITANTS.

The twenty-flrst annual meeting of the Superannuation Association of tho Union Steam Ship Company was held last Tuesday. Sir. A. XV. Wheeler presided. V The trustees annual report and balance-sheet for tho year ended May 31, 1933, were adopted. Messrs. A. W. Wheeler, C. H. Hughes, and Ji W. Matthcwson were re-elected as the staff trustees for the ensuing year. The chairman announced that the next quinquennial investigation would take placo after tho closo of tho next financial year, i.e., May 31, 1934.
