(Special to th\ "Evening Post.") MASTEKTON, This Day. The annual meeting of tho Masterton A. and P. Association was hold yesterday,1 the president (Mr. J. M. James) presiding over, a satisfactory attendance of, members. An appeal was made to members to put their backs to the wall and' assist the association in the present hard times, as the financial position called for some earnest offort on the part of members. The treasurer, Mr. G. W. Sellar, held out the hope of at least "balancing the budget" this year. A proposal to alter the show dates to Wednesday and Thursday instead of Tuesday and Wednesday ,was briefly discussed, several members stating that it was worth a trial. The suggestion was also made that the ram fair might be held in January instead of February. Opinion on this proposal was somewhat divided, and it was decided to seek the views of breeders beforo taking any action. ■ As the nominations did not exceed the required number, no ballot waa necessary for'the election of officers, who were returned unopposed, as nominated, tho president being Mr. Adam McKay, the vice-president. Mr. E. M. Perry, and the hon. treasurer Mr. G-. W. Sellar.
The educational authorities of Prague have forbidden the use o£ rouge and lipstick atoong girl pupils under ten years of age. ■ • ■
