ONSLOW RELIEF WORKERS
The Onslow. relief workers' self-help organisation, a committee formed from relief workers in tho Onslow district, has been doing $~ great deal of useful work in the way of mutual assistance, Eecently a clothes drive brought in vei-y good results, and yesterday after,noon a bazaar and fair in. thoNgaio Hall-opened promisingly. The Mayoress (Mrs. T. C, A, Hislop) opened the proceedings, which were presided ' over by' the [Rev. Ei M. Cowie, and .in the course ,of her remarks', congratulated the committee on the work that was being done, and complimented the stall-holders and workers, on the excellent display of goods..- ■ ■ Mr. B. A. Wright, M.P., also congratulated the committee on its endeavours to .assist- those, out of work, and said ho: was satisfied., that the public generally was always willing to lend a.hand to : those who,tried to assist themselves; the committee would find very many people who did not take an active part in such affairs' would readily lend assistance to' an organisation working, along the lines of theOnslow self-help committee., , .
