TRANSPORTATION STRIKE
PRESIDENT'S EDICT
(Received August 5, 11 a.m.) HAVANA, August 4. President Machado of Cuba signed an edict oil Friday describing the transportation strike now threatening the city's regular sources of food supplies as a "seditious movement." He threatened to suspend constitutional guarantees again and declare martial law and a state of war unless the strike was brought to a quick end. :
