Forbes and Masters anc| their party, who are embarking on the Aquitania on August 5, decided to return, home via America in order to obtain first-hand information of the United States's economic experi* ments. " Mr. Forbes states that, though the World Conference left disappointments, it cleared the way for future action. He was particularly impressed by the leading part the British delegation played in international conferences. Her foremost place and prestige in the realms of international finance and commerca were enhanced by the Conference. He and his colleagues welcomed the helpful opportunities for discussions of New Zealand problems with British Ministers. He was very hopeful that the difficulties regarding the low price of produce would soon be overcome. There were already signs that the marketing troubles would find their own solutions, and there was ground for confidence that commodity prices would cdntinue to rise. He believed that the discussions of mutual problems between. British and New Zea* land farmers would, result in a measure of co-operation, which would overcome the present difficulties. Steps had already been taken in thif direction.
