' The Carillon Society in its appeal to the Wellington public to provide ;i'unds for the permanent playing "of the War Memorial Carillon, has mentioned that the bells can lielp importantly in the making of a. strong community spirit and -Warnl fellow*1 ship. Tho projected programmes will always have music which has a. wealth of nationalasspciations. A good carillon is recognised as tho world's, best instrument for such music... The programme for tomorrow (the; nineteenth, anniversary of Great Britain's eatry. into the Great War) beginning: at. & p.m., will be:—(1) Westminster Chimes; (2). "Rule, Britannia!" (3) "Juanita" (a Spanish ballad); (4) "The Rio Grande" (a sea (rhanty); (5) "Home, Sweet Home"; (6) "Men of Harlecli"; (7) "The Bells of St. Mary" (Adams); (8) a Peal on 8 Bells: (9) National Anthem.
