ATTITUDE OF MOHMANDS
(British Official Wireless.) V (Received August 2, 11 a.m.) BUGBY,, August 1.. The threatening attitude of the Upper Mohmands towards the loyalist Halimzai tribe continues, and developments are being carefully watched. The Upper Mohmands have appealed for assistance from other Mohmand tribes. Meanwhile the Deputy Commission for Peshawar attended a satisfactory jirga of the Lower Mohmands on Sunday at Shabkadad, when the Government was thanked for its promised help, and the tribal leaders said that British Indian troops would be welcomed in their territory. '
