CUP LOST, HONOUR SAVED
TRIBUTE TO BRITAIN
(Received August 1, 10 a.m:) : PARIS, July 31. The Cup lost, but honour saved summarises the feeling in France, where the departure of the Davis Cup is regarded as a national event. Lacoste, speaking at the French Tennis Federation's dinner, warned England that the "Three Musketeers," united in defeat as iv victory, intended to strive to regain the Clip.. Borotra said that' there were no better sportsmen and no other country to which France would rather have lost. "
