Thousands, including girl tennisifans, at Victoria Station gave the Davis Cup winners the biggest reception British tennis players have ever been accorded. The sight of the Cup in the window of the Pullman was the signal for terrific cheering. His Majesty sent a message of hearty congratulations on a fine achievement. Most tennis trophies which are brought to Britain are dutiable ad valorem, but the Davis Cup is classed as a "re-import." „,_
