WORK FOR RETURNED SOLDIERS
The Wellington Ketui-ned Soldiers' Association announces the establishment of arrangements to assist in providing work for unemployed returned nien on some of their off days, and the provision of a register, regarding which particulars are advertised. There are two schemes. One provides for "mutual" work, where men will fee employed by the B.S.A. at 5s per day, producing commodities which will,be sold, to unemployed returned soldiers only, at less than cost price. The other is to provide subsidised work for private employers, which will be subsidised "50-50" by the B.S.A. up to 10s per day total wages. Soldiers who wish to work under those schemes and buy supplies through the mutual scheme must register with the Returned Soldiers' Association.
In future, assistance will be given by the Wellington Boturned Soldiers' Association only to soldiers registered under the mutual scheme.
