LONG TRAIL COMPANY.
The mine manager, Long Trail Goldmining, reports us follows for the week ending July 15:—"In surface drive sinking new winze beyond McNeil's winze have a further six feet to sink to get under and cut reef in solid country from which we took the rich ore in this drive. Low level: Have carried up rise here on reef and holed through into intermediate level for ventilation. Roof continues about four feet wide carrying gold. Very doubtful if this is the reef from which was taken the rich ore in the surface drive. Can ascertain this only by putting up rise to connect with Adams' winze on surface drive and will start this as soon as two more men commence work next Monday. Can now start breaking quartz from low level for battery which will start crushing as soon as ha.ul quartz enn be hauled next week. All mine and battery materials and horse feed now at mine. Red Trail: Last week dish sampled leader in this claim and obtained fairly good prospects from the No.' 3 drive. Given fair weather for haulage of quartz returns from battery will Bhortly be available."
