TIME TRIAL
Arrangements had been made by the Poneke Amateur Cypling Club to hold two handicap events, one for seniors and the other for juniors, but owing to the bad weather an. eleven miles time trial, in which the junior* riders took part with the senior men, was put on by the club, the course being one circuit of the Breaker Bay cutting route. F. Blackett . made fastest time, and also won the sealed handicap staged in conjunction with the test for time honours.
The first four riders were dispatched at two-minute intervals, and\the remainder at intervals of one. minute. No pacing was allowed.
The results were as follows:— F. Blackett (scr), first and fastest time, 36min 54 3-ssee.
J. Kettleton (smin), second, 42min 31 sec. ■ . ■ . ■
R. Gregg (3min), third, 37min 42sec. W. Laskey (45sec), eighth and second fastest. time, 38min 31 2-ssec. , ■
K. Nankivell (lmin), seventh, and third fastest time, 38min 45sec.
