PLIMMERTON AFFAIRS

RATEPAYERS MEET

The annual meeting of the Plirnmerton Ratepayers' Association was held in St. Andrew's Hall, Plimniorton, on Wednesday. Although the night was very cold there wero over twenty ratepayers present. Five new members were elected to the association.

The report and balance-sheet were adopted.

A resolution was carried unanimously, "that this meeting favours a footpath being formed on the south side of Motuhara Road between Steyno Avenue and the beach, and that an endeavour bo made to get the work started as soon as possible." i

" Tho executive's energy in advocating a reduction in rates, also its policy in connection with the loan for the proposed bridge, was endorsed unanimously. A vote of thanks was passed to tho riding's councillor for his effort in trying to get the Main Road through Pli'mmerton tar-scaled.

The following officers were elected fcr tho coming''year:—Chairman, Mr. R, 11. Sollitt; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. Edginton; executive committee, Messrs. W. Read, J. Ames, G. H. Neale, C. Athya, and James Gray.
