THE PRINCIPAL PRIZES

(Special to the "Evening Post.")

NELSON, This Day. The annual show of the Nelson Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Association opened in the Drill Hall today. The entries show a slight falling-oft", but, in most instances the-quality of the exhibits maintains a high standard. Exhibitors in the show have come from as far as Granity, Westport, Millerton,. Blenheim, and "Wellington. The judges were as follows:—O.E. game, Mr. S. Y. Wearing; fancy poultry (other than game), Mr. E. B. Martin; utility classes (heavy and light) and ducks, Mr. Jas. Hookey; Old UnglisWgame bantams, modern game bantams, and fancy bantams and children's classes. Mr. (i. H. King; fancy pigeons, Mr. J. L. Liddle; racing homers, Mr. H. Hockey; canaries, Mr. J. Vitettu.
